Project Overview
We were delighted to have been appointed to carry out cleaning works to the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) building in Belfast.
These works were planned to celebrate 100 years since the Public Records Office began in Northern Ireland. The Public Record Act (NI) 1923 established PRONI as the place of deposit for public records.
Description of works;
Our works to this project included;
- Steam cleaning to Portland Stone Facade (all elevations)
- To cut out and replace a number of damaged sections of Portland Stone around the main front entrance
- Repointing missing joints to the stone work around the main front entrance
