Clarke Restoration are delighted to have been appointed by Woodvale Construction to carry out sensitive restoration/repair works to the beautiful stone balustrade around the National Trust’s Castle Ward.
Castle Ward, which is now ran by the National Trust, was built in 1766 is one of Northern Ireland’s unique historical mansions. It features two different Architectural designs (Classical Palladian & a more elaborate Gothic Style).
Description of works;
Our works on this include carefully marking each section of stone & taking down setting aside ready for our stonemasons to carry out the necessary repairs. During the works no machinery will be allowed to ensure there is damage to the original stone.
