Project Overview
We have been appointed by Belfast City Council to carry out restoration works to a number of damaged headstones in a number of cemeteries across Belfast including Belfast City Cemetery, Shankill Cemetery & Clifton Street Cemetery.
Description of works;
Our works to this project will include:
- Marking each damaged individual headstone for repairs
- After carrying out a photo survey taking down each headstone & carefully setting aside each section
- Once the repair work has been completed, each stone will be rebuilt using stainless steel fixings along with natural lime mortar
- Once all works to the stones have been completed, the headstones will be safe for visitors to view for future generations
