Project Overview
Clarke Restoration were delighted to have been appointed to carry out restoration works to Belfast City Cemetery. The cemetery is one of the oldest public cemeteries in the city, dating back to the 1860s.
Description of works
Clarke Restoration carried out works to a number of listed and historically important features within the cemetery including the central steps, Jewish cemetery and Foxes lodge & mortuary tower.
These works were part of a huge heritage project including a new visitor centre which aims at making the cemetery a much more attractive place to visit.
